Lisburn ladies celebrate the end of the year with prizegiving

The ladies of Lisburn Golf Club recently celebrated the end of year with an evening meal and prize-giving.

On arrival, the ladies were treated to a welcoming glass of mulled wine and the festive mood continued as they were entertained by the Garvey Silver Band who played Christmas music and carols.

After the meal, Lady Captain Margaret Boyd presented the prizes to all the competition winners.

Weekly Competitions

13th October

The Christmas Competition on the 15th December was sponsored by Noreen McCluskey.

Hamper Competition

Past Captain’s Prize

1st: Margaret Boomer; Runner-up: Joy Hall.

Juvenile Kathryn Murphy won a silver salver after finishing runner-up in the Belfast and District Girl’s Competition which ran throughout the season.

Finally, the Lady Captain thanked all those who had made the evening a great success especially Jane, Albert and staff of the Greenview Restaurant and Jim and his bar staff.

Special mention also went to Joyce Anderson, Colleen Logan and Vera Watson for providing the christmas floral arrangements.

She was also delighted to announce that the ballot had raised £400 for the Christie Hospital, Didsbury, Manchester.
