Alan’s pin-seeking front nine enough to take top spot in Lisburn Seniors

Over 40 of Lisburn Seniors attended a dinner following their nine-hole competition on Monday.

The prizes were presented after another excellent meal prepared by the club’s Albert and Jane.

In the absence of the chairman Fred Walsh, the Captain John Boyd made the presentation to the very deserving winners.

Alan Gilpin (14) played the front nine in level par to run out an easy winner with 25 points.

John Hutchinson was second with 22 followed by Maurice Markey with 20.

Maurice was also awarded a special prize as he was the only competitor to achieve a birdie two.

Gregg Ferris got a pleasant surprise with a belated birthday cake aned his friends were even delighted to receive a slice.
