The Whites are preparing for their second season at this level, with the traditional annual clean up having already taken place, and are keen to encourage local businesses and the community to become involved with the club.

Club Secretary and Director Colin Hopkins outlined the work done so far this season and what the club requires going forward if it aims, at some stage in the future, to return back to top flight football in the Premiership.

“Ground-wise we have been delighted at the turn-out of helpers at the most recent dates,“ said Hopkins. “The ground is beginning to shape up and the work done has made a huge difference.”

Additionally the club has been working hard to put commercial packages together to bring in much-needed sponsorship for the club and its’ new campaign.

It is seeking the wider involvement of businesses and the community in Lisburn as Colin explained; “Last year proved a very successful one, in fact it was our best ever for the 150 strong Lisburn Distillery Youth Academy.

“Although we are presently in Championship One the cost for running what is, in the main a voluntary organisation, remains and if we are to continue the development of the club then we need to reach into the local community to encourage them to support us in reaching our goals. That is why we as a club make a number of attractive partnership packages available to both local businesses and individuals.

“At present we can offer shirt sponsorships in terms of front and back of the first team shirts, along with smaller front advertising swatches (shirt or shorts). Pitch-side advertising is also a great way for local businesses to get their name seen by both home and away fans.

“The club is one of a select band of Championship One sides that produce a regular match-day programme, and we have a number of advertising options available in that as well. Match and Match-ball sponsorships as well as online advertising are also available.

“I cannot stress the importance of us generating revenue to sustain and grow the club at both senior and youth levels and the club will be exceptionally grateful to sponsors. If any local business or individual is interested in supporting the club they can contact me on 07971 036785 or e-mail [email protected].”
