Lisburn couldn’t have got off to a better start after going 1-0 up after 22 seconds.

The goal itself was a delight as it came straight from kick off with Lisburn keeping possession, and worked well down the right through Mitchell, Kelly, Bain, and Taylor. The ball was eventually slipped through to Faulkner who ran onto it from a tight angle and chipped it over the keeper into the far corner.

From then it was one way traffic from start to finish. With Donnelly, Devlin and Millar all being rested it gave others the chance to shine and the team performed superbly.

This helped for preparation before their first round Shield match next against Greenisland and gave the opportunity for certain players to showcase what they can do.

Goals kept coming as Faulkner completed his hat-trick and strike partner Hunter also got in on the act with four well taken goals.

Further goals came from McKeown, Finlay, Kelly, Millar and Taylor who all grabbed a brace each.
