U13’s good start continues

Saturday’s game continued on the good start made by Lisburn Youth U13’s after their previous two wins to start the season.

After a delay to kick off due to a late referee, the game finally got underway with Lisburn having the lion’s share of the possession and creating a number of chances.

The main threat came down the left hand side with Adam Donnelly (AJ) who had the beating of his full back every time and was delivering some great balls into the box.

Unfortunately chances went begging and eventually Lisburn went 1-0 up after a great move down the right through Justin Devlin and David Faulkner who delivered a superb cross on to the head of Ross Hunter to make it 1-0.

It remained this score until virtually the last kick of the half when Hunter got his second and Lisburn’s second to go in at the break 2-0.

The second half saw a more dominating and clinical Lisburn Youth performance with more goals coming from AJ, McKeown (2), Faulkner, Millar with a great strike, and a further two for Ross Hunter.

TTBS grabbed two consolation goals late on.

An entertaining game to watch and a good test for Lisburn going into their game with TW Braga this Saturday.
