The road to the Euro's begins at Lisburn Distillery

As the clock ticks down ahead of this summer's European Football Championship in France, all roads lead this weekend to the social club at Lisburn Distillery where a special 'Green and White Night' will be held.

The chief guest on the night will be none other than Northern Ireland footballing legend Billy Hamilton, who played such a key role for the national team in both the 1982 and 1986 World Cup.

As anyone who has attended a night with Billy before will testify, his stories of his times with Northern Ireland are wonderful to hear, full of humour and memories which everyone can relate to.

Derek travelled the world as Northern Ireland’s kit man for over 30 years taking in over 200 games during that time.

Present at both World Cups in 1982 & 1986 and having served under former NI managers Billy Bingham, Sammy McIlroy,Lawrie McMenemy, Bryan Hamilton and Lawrie Sanchez, Derek will not be short of stories from his extraordinary career and will no doubt be able to reveal an amazing insight to the Northern Ireland team that few, if any, will be aware of.

Also joining the panel on the night will be Lindsay McKeown who is quite simply one of the most recognised Irish League greats.

A former Ulster footballer of the year, Lindsay is a widely respected voice of football and a regular guest on local radio and in the media.

Compere for the night will be Radio Ulster’s Michael Clarke and with a prize raffle and mini auction also set to take place it should be a superb night for everyone who is football minded.
