Split into two groups of four all the games in the group stage were close with Ballymacash and St Anne’s eventually finishing top of their respective groups.

After lunch the tournament turned into an exciting knock-out competition with two matches including the final decided on penalties. The eventual winners for the second year in a row were Ballymacash who defeated Tonagh in a close final.

The club would like to commend all the schools for their behaviour throughout the day with a special mention to Central who won the Fair Play award.

Player of the Tournament went to Jake Donaghy from Ballymacash.

This year the club were able to award all players with medals thanks to the generous sponsorship from Sainsbury’s at Sprucefield. Along with the medals Sainsbury’s also supplied fruit and juice for all players between games.

Thanks also goes to the community Policing teams from Lisburn and Dunmurry who were on hand to transport the schools to and from New Grosvenor.
