McBride is top man again for Whites

Lisburn Distillery keeper Ryan McBride was the big winner at the club’s end of season awards.

He picked up four of the six Player of the Season accolades after another pleasing campaign in which he kept seven clean sheets.

Even he couldn’t shut-out Bangor in the Whites’ final game of the season as the Seasiders claimed a convincing 3-0 win at New Grosvenor last Saturday afternoon.

Former Distillery winger Jordan Forsythe netted their third goal in what has been a starring season.

This week’s play-off matches against Premiership strugglers Warrenpoint were to be Forsythe’s final matches for Bangor as he has secured a transfer to newly crowned Premiership Champions Crusaders.

Also on target were Dean Youle and Andy Hall.

The defeat means Distillery finished in 10th spot in the Championship One .

It was after Saturday’s outing that the club handed out their end of season awards with Marty Jones and Darren Nixon picking up the other two top accolades.
