Fourteen local teams in NI Cup

FOURTEEN teams from the Lisburn Junior Invitational League will be competing in the NIBFA Cup over the next two weeks.

Tomorrow (Saturday) most of the action is in the under-16s where there is an all-Lisburn battle between Glentoran Youth and Hillsborough Boys at the Barbour Playing Fields, 11.15 a.m. at the same time as Portadown Youth play Foyle Harps. Solway Stars play Coagh Utd and Ridgeway Rovers are also involved. Hillsborough under-13s also have a Cup tie at the Recreation Centre, 11.15 a.m.

On the following Saturday there are five ties involving local under-11 teams. Hillsborough and Portadown clash at the Recreation Centre, 11.15 a.m., the same arrangement as the Lisburn Youth tie with Dromore Amateurs Youth. Lurgan Juniors are home to Newhill, Loughgall Youth meet Glenavon Youth at Gilford and Glentoran Youth take on Linfield Youth at Billy Neill.

In the under-14s Lurgan are home to Newington Youth and Oxford Sunnyside Boys entertain Glenavon Youth.
