Ballymacash Rangers 3 H&W Welders 0
Ballymacash travelled to the Bangor Fuels Arena on Saturday night to take on H&W Welders in the u15 Supplementary Cup final.
H&W were defending an unbeaten start to the season but Rangers could take confidence from the fact that they have been the only team to take points off H&W when the two teams played out a 1-1 draw earlier in the season.
Ben Welch settled any Rangers nerves when he raced onto a through ball to slide the ball past the keeper to give Rangers the lead in the first ten minutes.
H&W came back strong and Rangers found it hard to get out of their own half but they defended well and with the pace of Wright and Welch up front they always had a threat going forward.
H&W threw everything at Rangers in the second half without really creating any clearcut chances and with the Rangers defence standing strong and the midfield working their socks off it was Rangers who looked at times more likely to score the second.
Rangers had one hand on the cup with ten minutes to go when Jake Ross slid in to fire the ball past the keeper after he spilled a Jamie White free kick and Jamie Barbeck sealed the victory in the final few minutes when he was in the right place to take advantage after the keeper pushed out another free kick from White.
All that was left to do was for captain Nathan Patterson to collect the cup and complete a great night for Ballymacash.
