A group of coaches from Crumlin United FC travelled to Portugal for a week’s training on the latest coaching techniques from the top clubs in the country last month.

The trip was made possible under European Funding.

Geoff Wilson, trip organiser and coach at Crumlin United FC said, “This is a once in a life time opportunity for the coaches at the club. The overall aim is to increase our knowledge of the latest coach education techniques and bring them back to the club.

“We will be visiting a wide range of clubs in Portugal, from Porto, Benfica to a number of second and third division clubs in the area.”

Warren Bell, Marketing Manager at Whitemountain said, “We are delighted to sponsor Crumlin United FC for this special training trip to Portugal.

“The impact that will be made due to the knowledge gained will have a major influence on the club in years to come.”
