LISBURN Distillery Thirds won the Harry Cavan Youth Challenge Cup for the first time following a penalty shoot-out defeat of Portadown III at Mourneview Park last week.
Mark Patton converted the decisive kick for Andy Stevenson's side after Chris McCluskey had put the Whites in the driving seat with two saves during the shoot-out.

Portadown had taken the lead on 36 minutes through Mark Teggart, but the Whits hit back on 72 minutes when Danny Ferris was brought down in the box. Ferris then scored from the spot kick.
Extra-time produced no further goals although Mark Cooling came closest to securing it for the Whites with a 30-yard effort which dipped just over the Portadown crossbar.
And so onto penalties - Cooling, Scott Davidson, Ryan Blaney and Patton found the target for the Whites while Ryan Winter, Gary Topley and James Donnelly replied for the Ports.
