LISBURN DISTILLERY 3
CLIFTONVILLE 1

A DARREN Armour brace and a strike from the in-form Curtis Allen gave Lisburn Distillery a superb win over their bogey team Cliftonville at New Grosvenor on Tuesday night.
After taking a number of knocks from the Reds in recent years this was a great night ot savour for the Whites' fans with all the goal coming in the second half.

Reds keeper John Connolly was busy in the opening minute, denying Scottish midfielder Gary Muir after spilling a cross. Six minutes later, he reacted to keep out a close range touch from Darren Armour after a great delivery from Curtis Allen.
The Whites though should have gone ahead, the ball running to Chris Kingsberry but his shot cannoned off Aaron Smyth before being cleared.
The Reds then had their best chance of the first half after Chris Scannell broke clear on 12 minutes. His low shot from just inside the box was however turned away by the out-stretched arm of Philip Matthews.
Play ebbed and flowed, Andy Kilmartin fired off target before Ciaran O'Connor sent Reds' skipper Chris Scannell clear but the front-man was superbly tackled by youngster Johnny Magee, referee Stephen Weatherall unimpressed by Scannell's appeal for a foul.
The Reds then had the upper hand in terms of chances but they really didn't trouble Matthews. On 34 minutes Francis Murphy went on one of his former trademark runs at New Grosvenor but after being ushered across the box he fired high and wide.
Four minutes after the break the Whites were in front whenever the Reds defence failed to deal with a high free-kick from Peter McCann. Neither Connolly nor his defenders could clear and in the midst of the mayhem Armour got a touch that saw the ball end up in the net.
Back came Cliftonville though and David McAlinden (below) headed home Rory Hamill's corner on 52 minutes. The Whites though increased their lead from the spot after Ryan Catney had ended Allen's run and Armour made no mistake.
Allen ended the contest on 72 minutes when he nipped in between Connolly and a defender to push the ball forward. Ciaran Donaghy cleared but Allen saw off the attentions of Donaghy and Ronan Scannell to net the final goal of the game.

DUNGANNON 1 LINFIELD 1

FULLBACK Billy Joe Burns scored a dramatic last gasp stunner for the champions to earn Linfield a point from the trip to Stangmore Park.
The teenager smashed a great volley into the net in the third minute of added time to stun the home team.

Earlier Glenn Ferguson and Paul McAreavey were denied early shooting chances by solid defending from Adam McMinn.
Timmy Adamson thought he had come back to haunt his former team-mates when he had the ball in the net after meeting a Rodney McAree free-kick, but the goal was ruled for an off-the-ball infringement.
Four minutes later Adamson won an aerial battle with Mannus to get his head to Marc McCann's right wing cross; that appeared to be the hard bit done, but the ball was cleared off the line by Noel Bailie at the foot of the left post.
Burns looked smart as he robbed Mark McAllister, the striker back helping out his overworked defence. His low centre was hit first time by Michael Carvill, but Nelson got a touch and McAree tidied things up.

Swifts pressure on the visiting defence eventually reaped reward when a free-kick from McAree was handled by Carvill, one half of a two-man wall. The low ball from McAree was blocked by Carvill's left arm – at the expense of a penalty. Captain McAree coolly stepped and placed the ball on the left side of the goal, a foot above diving keeper Mannus.

Carvill had a low shot well saved by Nelson before a low drive from Burns 10 yards out was superbly kicked off the line by the Maghera keeper.
The momentum remained with Linfield after the break as they camped in the Dungannon box for the opening minutes of the break but despite going close twice, couldn't find the net.
William Murphy had a header cleared off the line by McAree after meeting Curran's corner before Carvill somehow headed over form six yards as he raced through the heart of the Dungannon box.
Swifts were back on a competitive footing as the hour mark approached; McAllister forced Mannus to concede a corner before McAree flashed a 30-yard drive just beyond the left post.
Plenty of chances followed for Linfield, Ferguson fired over on 69 minutes, Conor Downey hit the Dungannon wall with a free on 77 minutes.
Three minutes later Curran got his free beyond the wall but straight into the arms of Nelson.
After substitute John Martin was booked for diving on 84 minutes, Jamie Tomelty had a chance to wrap up the win for Dungannon when he raced through the heart of the Linfield half but his shot was deflected behind by Murphy.
There was late drama when Downey's shot in the final minute was spilled by Nelson and blasted to the net by Carvill. Linfield celebrations carried on for 15 seconds before they spotted the offside flag against Carvill.
Linfield finally levelled the tie in the third of four minutes of injury time when Burns spectacularly volleyed Curran's corner to the top right corner of the net from wide on the left side.
