LISBURN Distillery are in a three way battle to bring former star winger Andy Waterworth (left) back to the Irish League.
Waterworth, who signed for Scottish Premier League side Hamilton towards the end of last season is also a target for Linfield and Glentoran.
"Our chairman has been in touch with Hamilton and we have been given permission to speak to Andrew," said manager Paul Kirk. "I have talked with him and would love to bring him back to Distillery. It's up to the player now to agree terms with a club and then a fee will be decided with Hamilton. I believe Linfield have offered £30,000 so it might be difficult for us, but if we want to progress this is the type of player we have to go for. He can add 15 to 20 goals a season to our team, so I would love to see him back for the Whites. "
Distillery cannot lose out even if they fail to sign him - they will get 50 per cent of any sell on fee which was part of the transfer deal to Hamilton.
