LISBURN Distillery boss Paul Kirk is hoping it will be third time lucky for the Premier League kick-off with his team featuring in the match of the day.
Glentoran are the visitors to New Grosvenor and Kirk is relishing the challenge.
"This is a big test for my team, we will be asked questions by a very strong Glens team, do we have the answers? That is what I am going to find out on Saturday," said
Kirk.
While the visitors have a huge threat in Gary Hamilton, Distillery are hoping Curtis Allen could be their lethal weapon. "There are no weaknesses in Gary Hamilton's game - he is a quality player - but Curtis Allen has shown me he is a natural goalscorer and he works his socks off. Hopefully he can give the Glens plenty to think about."
Linfield begin the defence of their league crown at home to Newry City - free entry to all fans - a gesture after last week's postponement.
"After a couple of false starts we hopefully will get going against Newry City. We are at home and have the opportunity to put three points on the board from the off," said boss David Jeffrey
"It is important to make a solid start in what will be a nip and tuck race this season.
"No team comes to Windsor Park to lie down and Newry will certainly battle in all fronts and make it very difficuilt for us."
