BRIAN Magee is the new European supermiddleweight champion after beating Mads Larsen in Denmark on Saturday night.
The Lisburn man stopped favourite Larsen in front of his home crowd in the seventh round.
He had Larsen on the canvas in the fifth and on two occasions in the sixth before it was all over 15 seconds into the seventh round.
Going into the fight Brian was the underdog, but that is nothing new to the 34-year-old nor did it deter him from his big target.
Magee had not fought in a year, his previous bout last December saw him win the British title by knocking out Stevie McGuire in eight rounds. But he was confident he could win the title and all the hard work has paid off.
The victory will open many different options now Brian, but right now, he can relax and savour another superb title winning performance.
