LISNAGARVEY Ladies Seconds are the first women's team to bring back silverware to the Comber Road this season.
This came in the form of the Qualifying Plate, which they won 1-0 last Saturday after an exciting final against Dungannon.
Rose Montgomary scored the decisive goal in the second half from a brilliantly taken penalty corner. The defense of Nichola T
elford, Ashley Mulholland, Phoebe Preston, Rose Montgomery and Suzie Lee controlled the back well. They absorbed the Dungannon pressure with precision.

The midfield worked well, both defensively, and in attack. Sophie McClean made some excellent runs down the line and Jenna McQueen linked fantastic passes with defense. Also in midfield were Emma Canning, Lynne Anderson and Selena Brown (vice captain) who all worked well together. Fiona Hamilton (captain) led from the front along with, Sarah Colgan, Jenna Flynn, Sophie McNiece and Emma Lewis.
They attacked from the whistle and had some very close chances which were only lost to some very impressive saves by the Dungannon goalkeeper.

Player of the match was awarded to goalkeeper Katy Fair. The team thank coach Brian McQueen for his hard work all year, also, all supporters that turned up on Saturday and throughout the season.
