Somme to be remembered
The Battle of the Somme is to be remembered at two local events.
Just before half past seven on the morning of July 1, 206 (Ulster) Battery Royal Artillery will fire one of their L118 Light Guns at Hillsborough. At the same time today’s soldiers with 38 (Irish) Brigade will muster at the Thiepval Memorial for a short service.
