Fun day launch for city stores

Local business-owners Ricky and Vicky Leathem are to launch their two new Centra stores in Lisburn by hosting family fun days, as a thank-you to customers, at each of the Longstone Street and Ballynahinch Road outlets.

The couple will launch the Longstone Street store this Saturday, May 21 and the Ballynahinch Road store on Saturday, June 4.

Their Centra Belfast, Lisburn Road store has already been completed as part of an overall £300,000 investment.

The stores in Belfast and Longstone Street were previously under the Mace brand, but recently transitioned to Centra.

All three are said to have benefited from Centra’s new revised offering, which includes an upgrade in equipment, new store layout and offering, as well as the addition of 18 new staff.

Both Lisburn stores have had new refrigeration, lighting and flooring.

The introduction of brand new offerings includes a deli and hot-food counter, bakery and coffee dock.

Ricky Leathem said: “With two of our stores transitioning to Centra, and all three now offering new fresh and food-to-go ranges, we are delighted to see sales increasing already.

“ We are committed to providing the best offering to our local communities and following the refurbishment we are confident our customers will appreciate our efforts.

“As a thank you to our loyal customers for their continued support throughout the refurbishments, we are hosting free family fun days.

“We would like to welcome our customers and local community to come along and join in the celebrations with family-fun activities alongside fundraising for Action Cancer and Cash For Kids.”

Centra Sales Director, Nigel Maxwell, said: “This was a great opportunity for Ricky and Vicky Leathem and their staff to celebrate the support and dedication of their customers following their stores revamps.”
