Compost offer for city residents

Lisburn residents are being offered home composters for £7 each as the city council marks Compost Awareness Week (May 2-9).

Residents who recycle items at the council centres at Derriaghy, Carryduff and Drumlough during Compost Week will receive one free bag of compost.

Through its Facebook page the council is running a competition around how residents use their brown kitchen caddy, with the chance to win family passes to the LeisurePlex and Dundonald Ice Bowl.
