MAGHABERRY Primary school pupils and teachers made a huge effort to celebrate becoming a Sustrans Bike It school by holding a Be Bright Be seen event.
Sustrans is working with schools in Lisburn to provide children with the skills and information necessary to allow them to take to two wheels for the journey to school on a regular basis.
Children at the school rode to the challenge of making themselves and their bikes as bright as possible so that they would be seen and safe on their journey to and from school, especially important on darker Winter mornings. Prizes were given for some of the best dressed bikes and certificates of appreciation were awarded for bright outfits.
Mrs Aiken, teacher and cycle champion for the project at the school, was impressed by the numbers who cycled into school and the work the children put into the event.
