UTV veteran to share memories
Anne Hailes, who was born in Greenisland and worked for Ulster Television from its foundation in the 1960s, will address a meeting of Carrickfergus and District Historical Society next Wednesday (September 29).
Anne, who also broadcast on the BBC’s World Service, fronted the medical documentary series Casenotes, produced consumer issues programme Ask Anne and worked on reports on conditions in Africa and Bangladesh.

Hide AdHer talk will include memories of some of the era’s best known personalities - such as Frnk Carson, Anne Gregg, Ivor Mills and Tommy James - as well as visiting starts and studio mishaps.
The meeting starts at 8.00pm in the Dobbs Room, Carrickfergus Town Hall. Non members are welcome.
