In May the President welcomed the members of Derriaghy WI for the annual outing as they assembled outside Derriaghy Parish hall.

It was a pleasant evening for driving through the Co. Down hills with the first stop at First Comber Presbyterian Church Hall. The ladies were warmly welcomed and enjoyed a delicious meal.

The next venue was the Tudor Cinema. There was plenty of hilarity for the evening as the selected film was ‘What we did on our holiday’ starring Billy Connolly and David Tennant.

In June the President Anne Hunter welcomed the members to the AGM.

The meeting was chaired by our out -going executive member Mrs. Helen Dunlop.

The new committee names were listed and the members were delighted that their diligent President Anne Hunter was re-elected.

Ann Farr was congratulated on her success at the Area Meeting with her flower arrangement in a teacup. Comprehensive reports were given by secretary Enid Thomas and treasurer Vera Spratt. Their hard work during the year is much appreciated.

A lovely supper was served by the ladies and the ladies were wished an enjoyable summer break by the President.
