Sainsbury’s Local Charity of the Year scheme is back and the Sprucefield store is looking for a new charity to support from the Lisburn area.

Over the next couple of months, Sainsbury’s stores will make a shortlist of charities for customers to vote for.

The winning charity will then receive a year of support from the store, which includes fundraising and awareness. Customers can vote between 13th and 26th June in stores and online.

The Sainsbury’s Local Charity of the Year scheme has raised over £9million over the last seven years and has helped thousands of charities across the UK.

Steven Pollock Store Manager of Sainsbury’s Sprucefield said: “There are so many fantastic charities in the local area who do brilliant work in our community. We’d love to hear from charities we haven’t supported before.”

To apply, register your interest at the customer service desk or kiosk at your local branch, Sainsbury’s Sprucefield to be considered. The nominations close on 9th May.
