Road reopens after serious crash

The A1 between Dromore and Hillsborough has reopened after a serious crash in the early hours of this morning.

A woman, aged in her 40s, remains in a critical condition in a Belfast hospital following a collision.

The road had been closed after the incident which was reported shortly after 3.30am this morning.

An electricity pole was damaged in the collision.

A spokesperson for the Royal Victoria Hospital said the woman is in intensive care and her condition is described as ‘critical’.
