Rioting as ATO dealwith security alert
No-one was injured during small scale rioting in Strabane as the bomb squad dealt with a security alert late on Monday and early Tuesday.
Several families had to be evacuated from their homes as Ammunition Technical Officers (ATO) carried out two controlled explosions on a suspicious vehicle in the Ballycolman estate.
Nothing untoward was found. However, a number of paint bombs and masonary were thrown at police during the operation.
