Residents concerned over very busy road

Lisburn and Castlereagh City Councillor Andrew Girvin, together with Councillor Tim Morrow, recently met with residents from Ryan Park to hear concerns with regards to speeding cars and trucks on the Ballygowan Road.

“A lot of families with young children live within the small residential area and yet there is a national speed limit sign right outside the junction into Ryan Park,” said Mr Girvin. “There is also concern about the width of the footpath which is used quite often by residents and those visiting Roselawn Cemetery. A meeting will be organised with Road Service to see if they can help to prevent further accidents on this very busy road.”
