A defibrillator was presented to the Principal of Ballymacward Primary School on Thursday in memory of pupil Diarmuid Frazer .
Six-year-old Diarmuid passed away in March following a car accident at Lisburn’s Railway Street.
A team of Lloyds Banking Group managers, who have been fundraising for defibrillators, made the presentation at the launch of the NI Northern Ireland Defibrillator Mapping Group at St Colman’s Primary School.
It marks the first anniversary of the Defibs4Kids campaign to help, support and encourage schools to have defibrillators
The Mapping Group will collect data initially from schools on the locations of their defibrillators and create a central register.
Stormont Health Minister Edwin Poots said, “It is vital that we know the location of defibrillators so that we can save lives.’
