Outlook, an organisation set up to promote social and cultural activities amongst blind and partially sighted people in the Lisburn area, recently held what’s since been hailed a very successful Quiz and Stew Night.

“What an evening it was.,” a spokesperson said. “There was a great crowd of more than 80 people, great craic and over a whopping £1,000 was raised throughout the night.

“Thank-you to everyone who came and participated. Thanks to those who donated such generous ballot gifts, both individuals and businesses.

“Urban Serenity Natural Health Clinic, Cafe Thyme, John M Hanna, Del Toro Steak House & Urban Grill and Eden Beauty all donated great prizes.

“It was a hugely encouraging turn-out and great awareness was raised of their work.

More events like this should be organised in the near future . . .”
