'˜Out There' goes the extra mile for charity

Out There Services, which has a depot in Lisburn, are ending 2016 with raising just over £11,000 for their two chosen charities for 2016/2017; Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) and Cancer Focus NI.

Out There employees took part in two main events. Prudential Ride 100 in July, where a team of six cycled 100 miles through London in aid of CRY. The second event was “Tache for Cash” where 25 male employees from Out There’s nine depots across Northern Ireland, including Lisburn, grew a moustache during the month of November in aid of local charity Cancer Focus NI and raised £4,773.

Managing Director Steven Thompson commented: “We hold contracts working all over Northern Ireland every single day, and we pride ourselves in giving back to communities that we work in.”

Looking ahead to 2017, Out There will continue their fundraising efforts for their two chosen charities, by taking part in the Belfast Marathon, holding a Charity Golf Day, competing in the Giro Italia and another stint at Prudential Ride 100, hoping to surpass the amount of money raised in 2016.
