May is the month for the annual outing for Lambeg WI and this year they set off for the quaint, lovely Old Post Office in Killinchy.

At the Old Post Office the ladies enjoyed a delicious two course meal and some retail therapy in the fascinating maze of rooms filled with a most interesting selection of craft style goods.

The ladies then travelled on to the classic cinema outside Comber to see The Hundred Foot Journey, a heartwarming film set in beautiful rural France about rival restaurant owners and starring the wonderful Helen Mirren. It was much appreciated and enjoyed by members and some of their friends.

Birthday flowers were presented to Katie Turner and the competition for Prettiest Fan was won by Rosalind Boomer, with Katie second and Liz McQuoid third.

President Roberta Ferguson wished everyone a safe journey home and considering the unseasonable May weather the ladies agreed they couldn’t have had a better Institute meeting.
