While in Banbridge in relation to a family dispute a 40-year-old man was caught driving a van without having insurance.

Edward Stokes, Arthur Griffith Park, Dublin, was fined £200 for the offence last Thursday at Banbridge Magistrates Court. He was also given six points and ordered to pay a £15 offender’s levy.

The court heard he was stopped at 1.15pm on June 21 this year while driving the van in the Limewood area of Banbridge. He claimed he was insured with Zurich but this was not the case.
