Maghaberry WI members enjoyed two outings before their summer break.

The first was on May 30 to Ballymena with a visit to Arthurs Cottage in Cullybackey, Galgorm Garden Centre and shopping in the town centre, before a delicious meal at Ballyrobin Country House.

On June 11, 38 members met at Brownlow House in Lurgan for a tour of the building and a lovely tea.

Birthday girl was Stephanie and ballot winners were Penny, Pauline, Ruth, Helen and Julie.

Outgoing President Lynsay Johnston thanked her committee members for all their hard work during the year. She reminded members of the Belfast Parks Competition in September and welcomed volunteers to help.

Ina Watson thanked everyone in the craft group for their recent help in sewing items for girls in Africa which had been a great success.

Lynsay wished everyone a lovely summer before the evening came to a close.
