UUP branch hold AGM

LAGAN Valley UUP Association AGM was held in the Masonic Hall on the Belsize Road on Wednesday, January 30.

Sixty members attended. Following the election of Association Officers, conducted by Mr Mark Cosgrove, UUP Treasurer and Newtownabbey Councillor, Mr Cosgrove spoke to the Association on the theme of ‘Getting Back to the Principles of the Belfast Agreement’.

Basil McCrea MLA also addressed the meeting and outlined his position in regard to his attendance at a meeting of the UUP Disciplinary Panel. Basil received an enthusiastic response from Association members to his extended remarks.
