Tool thieves punch man in the face

A MAN was punched in the face after refusing to hand over tools from his van to a gang of men. around 3.20pm on Friday, in the Colinbrook Avenue area of Dunmurry.

Three men approached the man and ordered him to give them the tools. They pulled out a knife when he refused, before punching him to the head.

He sustained injuries to the side of his face. The men then fled empty-handed.

Police said two of them are believed to be around 18 or 19 years old.

The first male is described as being approximately 5’6”, thin build, approximately 18/19 years old, wearing a black coat and a navy hoodie underneath with the hood up and black tracksuit bottoms. The second male is described as being approximately 5’8” in height, approximately 18/19 years old, medium build, wearing light blue jeans and a black coat with the hood up. The third male is described as being approximately 5’10”, approximately 25 years old, medium build, with a thin moustache and wearing dark blue jeans and a grey hoodie.

Anyone who witnessed the incident has been asked to come forward.
