Givan welcomes commitment to resurface roads

LAGAN Valley MLA Paul Givan has welcomed a commitment by the local Roads Service Section Office to resurface roads in the greater Lisburn area.

Mr Givan said: “I have been frequently lobbying Roads Service locally and it positive news that they have given a commitment to resurface some roads in the Lisburn area.

“A stretch of the Saintfield Road prior to the roundabout has been confirmed to receive a new surface along with the Banbridge Road, Dromara and the Park Road, Dromara. This news is very welcome and I commend the local section office for their cooperation.

“In the coming months I will continue to make representations to the local Section Engineer to ensure than other routes will receive similar schemes if funding is available.”
