Charity dance raises £660

OVER £660 was raised for the Mayor’s Charity, Stepping Stones, at a Charity Evening of Dance held at Lagan Valley Island.

More than 50 budding dancers were put through their paces, learning new routines and enjoying performances by local Dance Troupe and instructors Dance Amore.

A prize draw on the evening included a hamper, voucher for Stepping Stones Coffee shop as well as a dance lesson with Dance Amore.

The Mayor. Alderman William Leathem thanked everybody for coming along and helping to make the evening such a success.

“Our Charity Evening was a great success and it was a really entertaining evening trying out new steps and dances.

“Even for those of us not blessed with natural rhythm it was a real treat to watch the professionals on the dance floor and I’d like to thank everybody who supported the event, especially Victoria and Stephen McCune from Dance Amore, helping us to raise over £660 for Stepping Stones,” said Mr Leathem.

Stepping Stones NI is a learning disability charity meeting the needs of people with learning disabilities and learning difficulties.
