Appeal for information following incident at Blaris Park

POLICE in Lisburn are appealing for information after a man demanded money from a teenager and falsely imprisoned her at Blaris Park on Sunday.

At 10.50pm the 18-year-old woman was using a public telephone box when a foreign man kept the door closed from the outside and demanded money.

A passerby shouted at the man and he ran off empty handed. The 18-year old-woman was not injured in the incident.

The man is described as being approximately 25-years-old, about 5’4” tall, of slim build, with dark skin.

Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to contact Lisburn Police on 0845 600 8000, or, to provide information anonymously, contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
