Police release Evofit image

POLICE have released an ‘Evofit’ likeness of a male they would like to speak to in connection with the false imprisonment of a teenage girl in Lisburn’s Blaris Park area on Sunday, January 27.

At approximately 10.50pm the 18-year-old was using a public telephone box when a foreign man held her inside against her will by forcibly holding the door closed from the outside, while demanding money; he ran off empty-handed when disturbed by a passerby.

The young woman was not injured but was left shaken by the incident.

The man is described as in his late 20s or early 30s, about 5’4” - 5’ 5” in height and extremely slim. He had swarthy skin and an oval face with sunken eyes and a pointed chin.

It’s understood he was wearing a dark coloured hoody with the hood up and had two gold chains around his neck.

Police are keen to trace the male responsible for this crime and are asking anyone who recognises the evofit to contact them at Lisburn police station on 0845 600 8000.
