Man injured after attempted mugging on the Knockmore Road

A 21-year-old man suffered a suspected broken nose and a fractured cheekbone during an attempted mugging on the Knockmore Road on Friday, July 11.

The man was walking in a park with a friend shortly after 6pm when they were approached by a number of unknown males.

The males demanded the man hand over his wallet and phone before assaulting him.

The males made off empty handed.

The man suffered a suspected broken nose and fractured cheekbone as a result of the incident.

Police in Lisburn are investigating the incident.
