Local cryptozoologist Mike Warner (78), believes that he has google map proof that a Lough Ness type creature inhabited a tributary of the River Bann near Coleraine two years ago.

On his website Bigsnakes.info Mike, who has been studying sea creatures for the past 25 years, reveals where he believes both the head and tail are.

Enthusiast Mike, who went on an expedition with his son to the Amazon in search of an anaconda once, believes the Nessie type creature is the same one students discovered in the River Foyle which the creature used as a hunting ground.

“Having left in 2011 or 2012, we believe it now no longer rests in this area however it could return,” said Mike. “Once Google Earth is updated again there will be evidence to verify this.”
