The Lisburn branch of Save the Children would like to thank all those who attended their very successful coffee morning on Wednesday, 20 November, at Hillsborough Presbyterian Church Hall.
The Chairperson, Mrs Angela Drayne, welcomed Lisburn Mayor, Councillor Margaret Tolerton, to the coffee morning and thanked the Mayor for her support.
This annual event gives friends and supporters the opportunity to purchase from seasonal craft stalls and enjoy delicious coffee and eats whilst supporting Save the Children Fund.
A total of £4,090 was raised which will be donated to the Emergency Disaster Committee for the Philippines Typhoon Appeal.
A spokesperson for the local branch of the charity said: “Once again the people from Lisburn and surrounding areas have shown their generosity and support.”
