There’s been a call for improving insulation work in both public and private sector homes.
Lisburn Councillor Brian Heading called for a cross-departmental approach to the matter.
“I have been concerned for some time about the poor standard of insulation particularly in private and social housing in my area,” he said.
“I understand that a survey has been completed in respect of social housing but we need something similar in respect of private housing.
“If we are to tackle the issue of poor insulation in houses we need to adopt a cross-departmental approach and come up with the solutions that homeowners deserve.”
Mr Heading hopes to hold an inter-departmental meeting to discuss the issue.
