Turning waste into opportunity

TURNING waste products into a viable business sounds like a task set by Lord Sugar, but this is actually the challenge undertaken by a group of students from South Eastern Regional College who have recently set up their own recycling company.

Lisnagarvey pupils who participated in a walk which raised �3,951 for Action MS. Silver certificate holders raised over �50 each and four gold certificate holders raised over �100 each. Accompanying them is Ann Walker from the charity and teacher Laura-Anne Knipe who organised the event.

Concert and beacon plan a city marks diamond Jubilee

THE popular Queen Tribute Act, Flash Harry, will take centre stage at Wallace Park on Monday June 4 at Lisburn City Council’s Diamond Jubilee Concert and Fireworks Display.
