Youth facing burglary charges

Local police have charged a 16 year old youth with a number of offences.

The youth is facing charges including burglary, theft and motoring offences.

He is due to appear at Lisburn Youth Court on Friday next week, (August 5).

As is normal procedure all charges will be reviewed by the PPS.

These charges are in relation to two burglaries which took place in December 2015.

One took place in the Belfast area and the other in the Lisburn area.

Police in the Lisburn area have recently warned homeowners to make sure they protect their property, particularly if they are away on holiday.
