Man fails legal row over Moira home

Edward Boyes was trying to overturn an order at the High Court made in favour of the Ulster Bank over a £600,000 mortgage linked to a house the the Glenavy Road, Moira.

Mr Boyes said that possession should be denied because no valid loan agreement was in place. He said lawyers, the bank and the Department of Justice or Northern Ireland Office were part of a concerted effort to have him adjudicated bankrupt.

He claimed the legal process was used to cover up fraud and corruption.

Mrs Justice Keegan said: “These assertions were made without proof.”

Mr Boyes was appealing an earlier failed bid to have ruling granting possession of the property struck out.

Mrs Keegan said the application to remove the suspension should be granted.
