Armed robbery at city shop

Detectives are appealing for information following an armed robbery at a shop in the Warren Park area of Lisburn on Tuesday evening, February 9.

At 7.30pm, a male armed with an iron bar entered the convenience store and threatened staff. He made off with a sum of money and headed off in the direction of Warren Gardens. It is thought that he may have got into a Vauxhall Corsa nearby.

The male is described as being approximately 6ft tall, of medium build and was wearing a black balaclava, a hooded top and black tracksuit bottoms.

Detective Constable Fiona Crichton said: “I would ask anyone who noticed the male, the Corsa, or who knows anything about this robbery, to contact detectives at Lisburn Police Station on the non-emergency number 101. Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can ring Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
