Hillsborough W.I learn about Sainsbury’s history

At the March meeting of Hillsborough Women’s Institute Paul Roddis from the Sprucefield branch of Sainsbury’s told the story of the development of Sainsbury’s from a small dairy shop in Drury Lane, London to the supermarket chain we know today.

Following the talk members congratulated Mr Roddis on the new layout of the recently refurbished Sprucefield store.

The ladies were then invited to sample the tempting finger food his colleague Joanne McGivern supplied.

The competition for an attractive shopping bag was won by Helen Glass.
