After the success of last year’s three-day 365 miles Charity Cycle around Northern Ireland, the LongWayHome team in connection with ‘The House Of Vic-Ryn Trust’ have decided to embark on yet another unique challenge.
May 29 will see a team of approximately 70 riders depart on yet another epic test of endurance, a 300 mile cycle to be completed in just two days.
This is a massive challenge encompassing Northern Ireland’s three loughs - Erne, Strangford and finally Lough Neagh.
Long Way Home cyclist and committee member Paul Jackson, commented: “We wanted to focus on a truly unique challenge, something that had never been done before, an endurance event to really push each cyclist to their limit.”
All proceeds from this challenge go towards the amazing work of the Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF)- Multimedia Team, in helping equip the CEF workers with vital materials and Christian literature to reach children.
LongWayHome 2015 will be supported by the House Of Vic-Ryn Trust. This local charity is a great inspiration to all and their aim simply revolves around ‘Helping those who have dedicated their lives to helping others’. The House of Vic-Ryn maintains a unique business approach in that 100% of the profits from the businesses owned are given to the charitable trust and distributed to chosen charities year on year.
To help boost donations, the team decided to partake in a non-stop spin-athon, kindly hosted by Cafe Vic-Ryn. If you would like more information or wish donate to the LongWayHome Team, visit mydonate.bt.com/events/longwayhomecycle/221090
