Food NI exhibits Lisburn producein Westminster
Brambleberry Jams and Johnson’s Coffee were two of the companies showcased after Food NI was invited by local MPs David Simpson and Margaret Ritchie as well as members of the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Committee to highlight food and drink from 14 local companies.
Michele Shirlow, Food NI chief executive, said: “We introduced top politicians, officials and other guests to many of our fantastic flavours of Northern Ireland as we mark our first Year of Food and Drink.

Hide Ad“They also sampled flavours from Northern Ireland prepared by Paula McIntyre, a leading Northern Ireland chef and a great champion of artisan food and drink.
“This was a momentous occasion and an opportunity to showcase the innovation in food and drink.
“There was a fantastic buzz throughout Westminster as a result of the event and we were delighted with the reaction from Parliamentarians from across the UK.
“I would like to thank both David and Margaret for their efforts to date and I look forward to closer engagement in the years ahead.
